Seagulls Lined Up on a Fence

(53-13)

This picture was taken at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. When I look at this picture, it reminds me of how fleeting beautiful moments in life can be. When I first saw these birds all sitting in a row I hurried over to the fence as fast as I could while trying not to scare them off. I was able to grab this one picture before the birds felt their zone of privacy was violated and one by one flew away. Unfortunately, as with many of my pictures, I look at them and think how if I only had more time, I could have made the picture better (in this case more depth of field would be nice and it would have been great if I could have somehow removed the trash from the picture without scaring off the birds). But I have to remind myself that every beautiful moment in life like this is a gift from God, and it is His to give and take away however He chooses. I am blessed that He has allowed me to capture and keep some of these moments on film.
