Moped in Japan

(41-6/6A)

My wife has spent about one year of her life in Japan spread out over three different missions trips. In the summer of 2001 we went together on a short-term service trip so that she could introduce me to the part of the world that held such a large place in her heart and her memory. One thing I loved about the Japanese is how realistic they are. Mopeds were a good example of this. I never once saw a large, gaudy SUV in Japan, but mopeds were everywhere. The pizza delivery guy even had a special crate on the back of his moped that would swing side to side to keep the pizza level when he leaned into the turns. The staircase coming down at an angle provided an interesting frame in this picture of an iconic piece of Japanese culture.
